Words that inspired the exhibition Holy, Holy, Holy Lord Almighty! The sky and the earth are full of your glory, are, in fact, part of the Victory Song, which is spoken during the Liturgy. Singing the Holy, Holy, Holy Lord Almighty, the seraphim glorify the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God in three hypostases. The works presented at the exhibition speak of complex concepts, such as the creation of the world, the Glory of God, prophetic visions and heavenly forces, and they are united by the painted work the Lord Almighty (Pantocrator). We take part in the glorification of God, the Creator of heaven and earth and everything visible and invisible, by attending the Liturgy, uniting with Christ through the Mystery of the Eucharist. Like the Church, a living organism, Church art pulsates and cannot survive without living creation. The aim of the exhibition is to show that different techniques and materials can convey the theme of glorifying God, retaining the recognizable painting method of the reverse perspective, left as a legacy to contemporary painters by their predecessors. Scripture-inspired painting has the power to convey the message of community in a world full of growing alienation among people. It needs to establish a connection with the observer, to communicate and to make us think about timeless topics in order to direct our thoughts and steps towards eternity. The techniques contained in the exhibition are egg tempera, encaustics, wax tempera (punk wax and yolks), painted silk. All these techniques have their deep roots in the past, but are present in this exhibition in a contemporary interpretation. The novelty is represented by works on silk that are inspired by the Chinese traditional technique of silk painting. However, the works at the exhibition were done with a combined technique, which means the use of egg tempera, but also glass as a carrier of the painted layer.
